March of the Living 2022-2023 Application

Financial Assistance Application

AS OF WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16, REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. APPLICANTS WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE PUT ON A WAITPOOL IF THEY APPLY AFTER THE DEADLINE.

In 1998 Holocaust survivors, local educators and Jewish leaders created the Miami version of the March of the Living program. Since its' inception, over 3,000 teens from Miami have traveled to Poland and Israel to examine the roots of prejudice, intolerance and hate. In 2001, after participating in the International March of the Living, a survivor named Leo Martin (z’l) from Lodz, Poland spearheaded the creation of the Friends of the March of the Living and created a Foundation in order to perpetuate the mission and objectives of the program by granting scholarship assistance to local students. Mr. Martin was dedicated to investing in teens who are interested in deepening their Jewish identity and learning about the Holocaust.

Miami's Leo Martin March of the Living (MOTL) program offers financial assistance to support participants who might not be able to afford the tuition. He contributed one million dollars to the program known today as Miami's Leo Martin March of the Living (MOTL). The deposit of $180 is non-refundable even if the FA request is not met (total program cost will be between $7,995-$8,995). Please keep in mind that the March of the Living program does not provide full scholarship funding. For additional financial assistance, contact your Synagogue or Temple.
